Spectrum

Spectrum 1.4.1 fixes various crashes, Identi.ca support and Twitter login problems. See Full Changelog for more informations.

As the version number says, we've switched to different versioning model.

The main change in 1.4.0 (Full Changelog) is new twitter plugin which doesn't crash and supports OAuth, which is needed to connect Twitter now.

Newly supported protocols are Identica and Heroes of Newerth game chat.

Please, read UpgradeNotes and Changelog before upgrading.

As usual, many bugs have been fixed and some new features have been introduced (key features include support for XEP-0106: JID Escaping and localization). The full list of changes is available at Changelog page. If you plan to upgrade from older version, you should read Upgrade Notes) too.

With the completion the documentation in the man page I can finally announce new commands ready in the git-version of spectrumctl:

• register
• unregister
• set_vip_status
• message-all
• upgrade-db
• shell

The latter is especially powerful, it allows you to start an interactive shell to interact with spectrum instances.
